AK-47SD??

I know they make a suppressor for the AKSU-74, a 5.45mm AK-74 variant. (Actually, they also make a suppressor for the 30mm grenade launcher you can attach to it, if you can believe that!) I know they've made standard AKM series weapons with threaded barrels. Do they make suppressors for the AK-47? I know there are suppressors for other .30 caliber weapons, but most of those are actually chambered in 7.62x51mm (.308). But if the bore diameter is the same (I don't know if the bore diameter of .308 and 7.62mm Soviet is the same) the suppressor would work on either gun, right?

Suppressor for a grenade launcher? Crazy Russians :)
As if the exploding grenade won't give away your presense,
unless they use silenced explosive grenades with that as well? :)

The main issue for fitting a suppressor to the AK47/AKM will be finding one with the proper thread pitch. However, the Finns and Russians both make suppressors specificly for AK47/AKM pattern rifles. The Russians also produce a 7.62x39mm subsonic cartridge, the 57-N-231U, and offer a replacement rear sight for its use with the AK47/AKM and the PBS suppressor.

The BS1 'silent' grenade launcher uses the 7.62x42mm SP4 piston cartridge to launch a bullet-trap style grenade. The SP4 cartridge case contains a piston which prevents the propellent gases from escaping. Since the propellent gases are trapped by the case/piston, there is no need for an add-on suppressor. The SP4 cartridge is also used by the PSS Vul semi-automatic pistol.
