i read that Century International Arms an CIA are made in 2 different places??
the guy who had Century International Arms said his was made in It says Century International Arms.

Under that is:

D.C. Industries
St. Paul Minnesota

but mine says CIA an the georgia vt? is there 2 different companies or something?

believe the d.c. industries is the receiver manufacturer and doesnt really have anything to do with century.

I thought the same thing as bejay. I think DCI is just the manufacturer. I've heard great things about their receivers on the forums, part of the reason I bought one.

i don't care if mine is from Century! it is one of the best one's no canted front sights or anything plus it's my birth year gun!!!!!!!!!!

DCI is the receiver manufacturer. My CAI Polish Underfolder has the VT address as well. It's hit or miss with Century. Mine's a definite hit. I've put 1000 rounds thru it since November with no failures. Gas block and front sight post are straight, good headspacing, properly crushed rivets, etc. I picked mine out of 6 on the wall. 4 of the 6 had some obvious issues. I wouldn't buy one if I couldn't inspect it, but if you do a little research it's easy to know what to look for. I couldn't be happier.

Post a pic!

I picked up an original Polish Bakelite grip and bayonet for authenticity. Although it looks good the Bakelite seems fragile. I'm trying to find a Polish laminate wood grip for it. Hard to find. I want a red dot for it and I've been going back and forth between the Texas Weapon Systems rail and the Mini Dot mount. I want to keep the classic wood look so nix a handguard rail.

What did you get? Is it a Romanian WASR?
