AK-47 is it a Good Gun?

Russian AK-47s (Izmash or Tula Arms) are far superior weapons than their Chinese counterparts manufactured by Norinco or Polytech.

Try to get hold of a 1974 manufactured original Soviet AK dubbed the "Kalumcuts".

The AK is a good gun, not as accurate as a M16, but if you want to spray some lead down range it is fun, it is also a gun that can take the abuse....you don't have to clean it as often. I own 2 AKs..both Semi...one is a converted Saiga from IZM. The other is a cheap romanian POS that I shoot the crap out of...don't expect a lot of accuracy out of an AK.

How are they far superior? The Polytech AK's have slightly heavier barrels and I find that the parts are of a finer quality. Also, I believe that the receivers are 1.6mm and slightly more sturdy than the Russian stamped receivers.
