Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on the AK-103. Ive been looking in to buying a brand new version of this rifle from www.krebscustom.com but before I go and get it i would like to know a little about the rifle. Is here anyoneout there who owns one of these or has shot one before and can give me some feedback?............thanks for any info you can give.

It's essentially a "moderized" AKM, ie, uses polymer furniture, improved gas system etc. The Russian built guns were solely for export(as all AK-100 series rifles are). The only thing Marc's guns won't have will be the folding stock(his are fixed). He uses Saiga (ie, Russian) or FEG (Hungarian) receivers. You can't go wrong with a Kreb's built gun...just my $0.02 worth. (I don't own one but I've seen/shot them). Also check out AK-47.net for more owners reports.

A friend of mine had an AK103K built from a Bulgarian SLR95.

The workmanship is top notch. It looks great and handles even better. I haven't shot it yet but he says it works flawlessly. It has become his favorite gun to shoot and he has an enviable collection weapons.

If you can afford it buy it. I would.
 
I have a Krebs AK103K and love it. It shoots great and feeds anything I put through it. I've got over 2000 rounds through it, without any kind of stoppage. If you want more info, go over to AK47.net and search for it, they had a big fight over there awhile back and there are other people doing that type of conversion, so you may have other options. Personally, I'd get another Krebs gun, I still want a second, and am eyeing that Saiga M3 enhanced he has on his web page. I would deal with Krebs direct if your going to get one, Kalashnikov USA is still advertising them for sale in the Gun List and they are bad news! I waited over 7 months for a second 103 and it never came through.
