Airguns for Turkey in California!

As of this year it is legal to hunt turkeys with airguns over .20 caliber. This should open up turkey hunting to those of us in suburban/semi-rural areas infested with turkeys but without enough land or understanding neighbors to use a shotgun.

Any thoughts? I am excited enough about it that I am going to buy a decent .22 caliber air rifle just for turkeys.

Head shots at 10-20 yards are the preferred method.

I've got a benjamin .22 rifle that I have had for over 30 years now. There isn't much that I haven't dropped with it. I remember thinning out my chicken coop of roosters a few years back. As I shot the rooster I threw them on to a makeshift table for cleaning. I turned my back for a second and one of them jumped up and took of running????? Nerves I guess???? I never shot one of my Turkeys with the benjamin but I would say that it could probably drop one out to 30 yards.
