NOW WE HAVE WRITTEN CORPORATE POLICY, sent in by an alert supporter;
-------------------------------------------------------------------- <A HREF="http://www2.airborne.com/using/conditions/acceptability.htm">http://www2.airborne.com/using/conditions/acceptability.htm" TARGET=_blank>http://www2.airborne.com/using/conditions/acceptability.htm">http://www2.airborne.com/using/conditions/acceptability.htm</A>
Under Section D - Shipments Not Acceptable:
"Firearms (air or powder discharged) assembled or unassembled; ammunition in all forms regardless of hazard classification."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
While UPS can't control employee theft and has implemented policy that handguns must be shipped overnight at exorbitant
rates, they will still handle any firearm
and ammunition.
AIRBORNE WON'T EVEN SHIP A DISASSEMBLED PELLET GUN!
"To avoid the runaround, here's what to do: Call 800-426-2323, wait for the operator (don't press 1! You'll get the other,
ineffectual "customer service" number),
ask for the Executive office extension.
I got a physical address for the Pres. too, letters will be effective as well. It's:
Robert Brazier, President
Airborne Express, Inc.
3101 West Avenue
Seattle, WA 98121
Be nice, be straightforward.
