here is an idea i have for a 5 foot x 10 foot banner for the rally...

we need to raise the money to get a banner printed: http://www.SAS-AIM.org/

Second Amendment Sisters
18484 Preston Road, Suite 102 #141
Dallas, TX 75252

and write on the check that it's for the banner fund.

a banner that big is ~500 bucks...

The SAS foundation still hasn't cashed my check from a month ago (dangit)! Oh well, I guess I'll just send money orders. :)

Doc,

Send me your snail mail addy so I can make a little contribution, too.

And I'll be there Sunday morning to help you put it up, buddy!

I'm not sure that's fair. T-shirts are everyday flags in some cases. And personally, I'm out of funds. I've contributed as much as I can recently, probably more than I could afford to. I'll continue to do so, but I'm the comment struck me the wrong way. We each do what we can. We realize how important the fight is.

They have a secure server if you want to use a credit card to donate! Forget about the checks and money orders. ;-) Then again, maybe you do need to send a check oe money order if it is for the banner fund?

sorry if i'm unfair, but in one day 48 people signed up for ~100, 15 dollar Tshirts.

enjoy wearing them

No offense was meant, DZ. My thought was that T-shirts are used daily, rather than for occasions, and serve a practical purpose. If someone would buy a shirt anyway, they may as well buy one of these. The flag is a noble effort, I didn't mean to imply it wasn't.

i have been working with Dianne from SAS-AIMM on this project. This Banner is the main banner for the stage. They don't have the donations to afford having it created.

The Rally is May 14th (36 days)
:(

You're doing good work, DZ..and only been at it for 3 or 4 days. You'll make it. :)
I'll be there. When I see the flag, I'll think of you.

if i designed a really cool tshirt for RKBA & sold it at a 15 dollar profit (25 dollar shirt) & the profits went to SAS-AIMM, how many would make the donation?

dz;

Send me the t-shirt. I've contributed to SAS. I'll send more for the banner. However I heard a radio ad last night on a local DC oldies station (100.3?) for MMM. If they can afford radio spots and SAS-AIMM is having trouble raising $500 for a banner I fear we are way under-funded and out-marketed. Does anyone know someone at NRA or GOA that can ante up some real money?

I will e-mail NRA and ask the question.

The SAS is not looking for support from the NRA or GOA. They feel that it would be counterproductive to be associated with the other gun-rights groups. They want to keep this a narrowly focused womens' march (but guys can be 'sisters by proxy'. The reasoning behind the SAS thinking on refusing the NRAs support is that they do not want to be viewed as a pawn of the NRA or whatever the anti- crowd twists the SAS into being. Imagine the ammunition the MMMs could have if the NRA was looked at as 'beating up' Mothers!

While the NRA can't officially support the SAS effort, there is no reason they can't use their resources to help get the word out about the SAS and the AIMM march on Mothers' Day.

The SAS has only five weeks from today to get this all together!

HELP SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!

Remember, just because you are not paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you!

the MMM gets free ads, newspaper coverage & congressional lobby support. The AIMM march gets what the gunowners contribute. They can not afford a 500 dollar banner at this point.

The TFLers have committed to ~120, $15 dollar Tshirts with a TFL logo on them.

We could collectively contribute the banner for the stage if we decided it was worth it.

I am going to email Dianne 2moro and see if we can create Tshirts at this late date to fund part of the rally.
