Has anyone dealt with AIM, Inc.? How customer service-oriented is the company?

PS. While we are at it, let's talk about other companies such as Jersey City Armory, Bachman Guns, Century International, SOG, KY Imports, J-G Sales, etc. etc.

You might try asking this question at www.mosin-nagant.net A lot of people there deal with AIM, SOG, Century due to their selling of surplus guns. I've heard good about Bachman, Jersey City, good and bad about KY-Imports and JG Sales; kind of a toss up I guess.

I have done business with SOG and have had no problems. Everything I ordered has been exactly as advertised. Their customer service people have been accomodating and helpful.
I have made 3 purchases from them along with some other accessories and have been pleased.
Will buy from them again.
Hope this helps :)

I bought a very nicely refinished M1 Garand from AIM about 5 months ago. I shot it almost immediately (new toy and all) and it seemed fine. A few months later, I brought it back out of the safe and found that it ended up uncocked after the action cycled about once every 3 rounds. When I called them up, I ended up dealing with the VP of something and he had me send him the trigger group ... they sent me a replacement in a pretty timely manner that has been easier to take down and completely reliable. I feel completely satisfied ... I mean, how much service and warranty work can you really expect when you are buying 55 year old well-used guns? I almost got a Isreali surplus Hi-Power from them, but the sales person was completely honest about the condition. I was interested in a Hi-Power, not a project, and he came right out and warned me that I was inquiring about a project. I seem to remember someone complaining about AIM ... but I'd recommend them based on my dealings ... Oh yeah, I also got a CZ-52 from them ... arrived exactly as advertized. In fact I might sip on over to their web site right now to see what they have :)
Hope this helps,
Bill

AIM is considered by many (myself included) to be the best place to get C&R stuff. The stuff they sell is in the condition advertised. Shipping is prompt and items are well packaged. I've bought from Century, SOG, AIM, Samco and Sarco. AIM is by far the best I've delt with.

Aim Surplus is the best C&R distributer there is. I've bought a BUNCH of stuff from them and have always been pleased. www.aimsurplus.com

Watch out for SOG. They grade their stuff as Good to Very Good. Now, what the heck is it, Good or Very Good? There is a BIG difference! I don't buy anything that is in NRA Good condition. They do get some nice stuff, but watch out for the way they grade it.

Definitely go to Tuco's at www.mosin-nagant.net
It is THE forum for C&R guns. The best deals change from company to company nearly every month. Go there and you can keep on top of it.

I would like to add my vote for AIM. I have never had any problems with then. Thay are a first rate outfit.

I have also had good luck with AIM. They did make a mistake with our order, but they did what was necessary to make it right, and they were always friendly and helpful on the phone.

Skorz, I have not dealt with AIM but my dealings with SOG have, except for once, been pretty good. The once was a Spanish Model 1916 which should have been sold as a boat anchor! Other than this, I have been very satisfied. KY Imports burned me on a magazine once and did nothing to alter the deal. I still don't know what pistol this magazine fits! I will continue to buy new pistols in an attempt to find out what pistol it fits :D Regards, Richard.
