Ahnold has just announced that he'll be running for a second term (first full term) as Governor of California. The only trouble is, Ahnold's probably just about as unpopular now as Grey Davis was before he was removed by special election.

A recent poll suggested that 56% of Californians would not reelect Ahnold. Can the Governator terminate the erosion of public confidence before the elections next year?

He won't be re-elected, he's pissed off the dems so much that they want his head.

I've even heard stories that many CA folks that voted for Gray's impeachment are "not happy with their vote".

CA is the land of fruits and nuts and I'm not talking about their major ag. exports either. Many good people live there, and I feel for them, but you have to understand, they are proud of their "progression" ideas. Most which will get the normal person killed on the street (as been proven).

Sadly, the governor of Oregon is in a pissing match with California to be even more "progressive" in it's laws and stupidity. What a moron, and he's seeking re-election, what a waste of life.

Good luck Californians, maybe one day, you will be free again. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Sorry to be so blunt, but look at the idiots that dwell in your state.

At least from what I know, most of his troubles stem from budget cutbacks he has either proposed or enacted... and he is now opposed by teachers, nurses and firefighters. I can't say whether his spending cuts were in the right places from the outside, but there is no doubt that they needed to take actions to *begin* to balance the budget.

The one thing that I saw that clearly was a mistake was essentially a major screwup of speech - when describing how he would cut nursing ratios staffing hospitals, he boasted that he would "kick their butts" (the nurses). Now, those are just words, but very stupid words. If you're a leader eliminating people's jobs, you shouldn't talk trash about it.

I am sympathetic to Mr. Schwarzenegger, and don't count him out yet, but he needs to do something, and in the past year has only lost ground steadily.

Every state has its share of cupcakes and nitwits. It's a matter of proportions, something with which I'm fairly familiar, given where I live.

At this point it's a toss-up as to whether he'll get re-elected or not.

He's really torqued off a lot of people and the general concensus is that he's "not the governor he was supposed to be". Depending on what happens with his special inititives in Nov he'll either gain back some in the polls or lose even more ground. My bet is that he'll lose both in Nov and next years re-election campaign.

The really sad thing is that there's no one on the horizon to replace him. Of course you could say that about the national political scene too. Where the heck are all the real leaders? The bums we have in office now are all jokers.
