ahhh, the wayback button

hello all,
not sure if this is firearms related enough, but what the hay, it's late, I can't sleep and you'll all just have to suffer for it. recently there has been a new member causing a bit of a stir on one of the boards, and it got me thinking just how annoying I was as a new member. so I went to my profile and went all the way back to the beginning of my post history and checked out the first few posts I made as a TFL member... to say the least... I've come a long way. has anyone else hit the "wayback button" out of curiosity to see what their opinions and views were about guns and the shooting sports in the past?

you weren't stupid mosin, just inexperienced. it happens many times when we have nothing else to gauge off of. for instance, when I first started here, mainly posting in the handgun forums, I thought I was hot stuff because I aced the Navy M9 pistol qualification course, little did I know that the course most police have to qualify with extremely difficult in comparison. even a lot of the concealed carry courses that some states require for a concealed weapons permit is more difficult, but that was the only formal training I had received so that that what I had to gauge with. you weren't stupid, you just had no idea there was another world beyond the mosin nagant yet.

While I haven't gone back and looked, I feel pretty confident I'm still the same idiot today that I was then.
:D
(idiot gets past the filters, ;))

It's funny. A year ago I thought gun control was a good thing, hardly ever shot guns. Now I'm doing basic gunsmithing, trigger jobs, and working with bedding, and I shoot various firearms 2-3 times a week. Pretty funny how fast people can change.

Wait, Mosin-Marauder you can hit a soda bottle at 30 yards with a Mosin????

You ARE a marksman....I'm not sure mine will hit the broad side of a barn from inside the barn.
