I posted a similiar thread on long guns for my 10/22. Has anyone shot these sub-sonic bullets? Will they cycle a Browning Benchmark?

These are the Colibri rounds that have a 20 gr. bullet and have no powder in the case. They are propelled by the force of the primer only. They are very quiet and are like shooting a pellet gun. No, they do not have enough recoil to work the action on any type of action. If you are using them in a semi auto you have to cycle the bolt every time.

What recoil?

Shot a couple of these out of my father-in-laws bolt .22 and all I heard was the firing pin hit the rim of the cartridge. I wish I had a basement and I could use these to shoot indoors and the neighbors would never know, but I would have to go to the trouble of cycling the action.

Boo - You have a bolt action that you do NOT have to "cycle" the action?

Be careful with that little pointy bullet, they will bounce right back at you from anything stouter than a tin can.

taa, cs:D

Has anyone else noticed one other thing? These rounds have the worse smell of any ammo I have ever fired.
