Aguila 45 ammo?

Well... I didn't think it was gonna happen around here, but it's getting pretty hard to find 45 ammo in my area (Central Illinois). I went to walmart and farm and fleet both trying to buy the winchester value pack of 100 rds for 30 bucks. The clerk at Walmart said that they recently got an email stating that ammo is going to be scarce due to the high demand. Another clerk told me they get weekly ammo orders, but i've been checking for a month, and the shelf hasn't done anything but gotten slimmer.

So I started looking at ammo deals, and found Aguila 45s

Is this a good ammo just for plinking? Can't really find too many reviews. I'm considering buying 1000rds just to get it over with so I don't have to keep the search up. The shipping cost is only $20 for 1,000 compared to $15 for 500. I figured it up to where it till be about 34 cents per round shipped, compared to 32 cents per round for the winchester value pak after tax.

So what does everyone think?

I've bought a bunch of their .380 and haven't noticed any accuracy issues with it. It is noticeably dirtier on stainless than Federal AE or PRVI but cleans easily.

It's not my first choice, but as supply gets short I wouldn't hesitate to pick up more.

Can't coment on the .45, but I bought a brick of .22lr from them, and it's among the filthiest ammo I've ever shot. I looked like a coal miner after about 250 rounds. Bring a respirator.:D

I think I'm going to end up getting some. Still havn't been able to find any at local places. I did find some reviews saying it was cleaner than the Remington and Winchester plinkers.

Aguila .45acp is great ammo. Alot of gun reviews magazines use it to compare accuracy of different types of ammo thru the gun being reviewed.
