Ages and Such

I was just wondering about what ages you need to be to own or buy different guns. Are there specific ages for owning Shotguns, Handguns, Rifles or buying them? Are there age limitations for different cartridges like .44 or .41?
 
Federal law says 21 to buy a handgun, and 18 to possess one, 18 to buy rifles and shotguns. State laws will vary. Here in PA, it follows federal law.
 
Federal law for 21 to buy is for FFL dealers. Alot of states would allow a 18 year old to purchase a handgun off an individual that resides in the same state.
