age of revolver

I have received an old S & W revolver from family member as a gift . I would like to know when it was made., It looks like an old model 10, Its in new condition,4 inch, blue. serial number on bottom of grip is 201xxx, thanks for any help with this

A lot of if's involved here. Let me just post that the serial number range for the 38 Special Hand Ejector, Military and Police ( prior to 1957 the Model -10 was called the M&P ) from 1909 -1915, ran from 146900 through 242701.
 
A picture of your old revolver would help identification. Its probably a S&W M&P hand ejector but there are a lot of varations.
