Aftermarket sights for the Glock 19?

What's about the least I can expect to pay for sights that would be an improvement over the originals? They don't have to be "night sights".

I can't recall owning a handgun I like this well and shoot this bad. I'm lucky to keep 5 shots out of ten inside two inches at seven yards. The sight picture looks good when I squeeze off the shot but I've put around 800 rounds through it with all kinds of ammo, got a lighter trigger connector that seems ok, lots of dry firing. I'll miss left, high or low. At first I thought that my eyes had gone bad but I shoot my other handguns, a 1911, KFrame Smiths and a Buckmark a lot better at that distance.

Quick question, have you had anybody else shoot it to see if they get the same results, especially if they own a Glock as well? When I and a couple of good acquaintances from the range get a new pistol and have accuracy and/or grouping issues, we will have the others shoot it to see if the results can be mimicked. Definitely helps narrow it down between shooter error or equipment issues.

There are a ton of aftermarket aight options for Glocks out there. All you have to do is search Google. As far as will that solve the issue though I can't say for sure. That sounds more user related.

I had a similar problem with mine the first couple hundred rounds. A consistent POI to the let. Check to make sure your rear sights are centered. Mine had somehow moved about an eighth of an inch to the left.

I don't know your gun or your shooting so I don't have enough info to tell you if the gun is faulty but I do have warren tactical fiber optic front and plain black rear sights on mine and it shoots incredibly well.

Highly recommend them! I also have teh competition set of warren tactical sights on my glock 34, same configuration and they helped improve my shot placement on it as well :)

I just put a set of TruGlo TFX sights on mine. I have the same sights on my Walther PPQ and like them a lot. Model number for Glock is TG13GL1A. $101.00 on Amazon.

Mine are higher on the $$$, but I love the hi-viz fluorescent outline on my front sight, as it definitely assists in rapid acquisition; Trijicon HD's w/orange outlined front.

^A poor man's version of the above is the Ameriglo i-Dot Pro. I use them after having had the HDs and I prefer the straight 8 sight system over the three dot, but that's up to the user.

Sounds like you need more trigger time more then new sights.

Just asking....how will new sights help this issue?

I think you could get new sights for $50, but the question to me is how much better will the sight picture be?

Now, if you know front dot focus is a struggle, maybe an go sight will fix this...

Trijicon HDs used to be my "go-to" until I came across the I-Dot Pro manufactured by AmeriGlo. I'm much quicker with the I-Dot Pros than I was with the HDs. At any distance. Granted, I did love the XS Big Dot sight system. After a certain distance it covers the button I would prefer to aim at, you know "aim small miss small"?

So, AmeriGlo I-Dot Pro for the win.

As for your issue, it's just that. Your issue. No offense but that sounds a lot like user error. Maybe you're using the middle phalanx? It's a Glock, not a DA revolver. Or you could be slapping the trigger.

Need to crawl, walk, and then run. Eventually it'll be second nature and it won't matter where your finger is on the trigger. Just one step at a time. And 800 is nothing.

Aftermarket sights for Glock 19

Thanks to all for the sight info, photo Cyanide 971 and opinions. Guess I'll spend the sight money on 9mm ammo, leave the other guns at home and focus on learning to shoot the G19 better for now. If that doesn't work I'll schedule an eye exam.

You might start with dry fire. There is a speed at which you pull the trigger such that it feels good to you and which the sights stay aligned when you pull the trigger. IME, Glocks are especially sensitive to building this muscle memory.

Good luck! Also, look to PSA for cheap ammo deals.
