After market take down pin for Ruger LCP

Does anybody have any experience with replacement take down pins for a LCP? Are they any stronger than factory pins? I ask because I have sheared the head off the Ruger factory pins using some robust loads. This pin sheared after many rounds of BB .380. I plan to use SAMMI spec ammo for practice but high preasure loads for carry. Just a thought. Thanks in advance, dgang
 
Ruger just redesigned the takedown pin to fix that... put a recess for the spring to sit in so it doesn't wear and cause a fracture.

If you go to ShopRuger, the LCP takedown pin listed is the new part.
