After-market hi-caps for Glock 19 in DFW...

I keep reading lots of varying opinions and experiences with the aftermarket high capacity magazines. I want to buy a few hi-caps for my G19, but I'd like to investigate the aftermarket brands before plunking down a fortune on Glock brand.

Does anyone know a place in the DFW area that stocks hi-caps? Either aftermarket or Glock brand?

I've got one.

I've got a (I believe Scherer (spelling?)) synthetic high cap mag for a Glock 19 you can have for $25.00 shipped if you want it. It's brand new. Email me at diyj98@yahoo.com if interested.

Cheaper Than Dirt in Ft. Worth (north side of town at the southwest corner of US Hwy 35W and Loop 820) has a selection.

I use, and have had excellent luck, with the Pro-Mag brand steel-lined (not plain) polymer mags.

I've had 14 (six for my 17/34 and eight for my 19) of these steel lined polymer mags for several years. They have all been reliable for me. The original springs were a little wimpy and I replaced them after about six months of constant use with Wolff brand springs. Other than that, they have been trouble free. I also have a bunch of Pro-Mag brand mags for the Ruger P series and S&W 59xx series and they have all been reliable as well.

If you are in Dallas, you might check with Bachman Gun and Pawn. They are on NW Highway just west of Bachman Lake.

They will probably be at the upcoming gun show at Market Hall - Sept. 22/23, I think.

Thanks for all the replies! :)

9x19 - Thanks for the quick review of the Pro-Mag's. Glad to know they've worked for you. I may bug you again about the Wolf springs in the future. And thanks for the tip on Cheaper Than Dirt. I haven't been there.

Sackett - I called Bachman and they didn't have any hi-cap G19 mags, factory or third-party.

Perfessr - I ordered a Pro-Mag from CDNN a few days ago just to try it out. If I have the kind of experience that 9x19 described, I'm sure I'll stock up on them!
