After almost 3 years, the MiHec 45-70 HB comes to fruition!

They are finally ready to ship this weekend. Here's a preview of the beast!
They'll drop .460 or .462 (depending on which one ordered) and will weigh 392 grains. I should have pics up of a pile of them in about 2 weeks! (Shipping takes 9 days from Slovenia)

MiHec sure makes a nice mold. I didn't know you owned a musket in 45-70 One question. Why the cone base?

Hollow bases are usually for being able to seat the bullet deeper in the case without increasing the pressure.

What Vance said..... and also I have heard that the hollow base allows the gases to expand the skirt to grip the rifling and seal the bore better than a plain flat base.

No musket here.... these are for the guide gun.
