I doubt I will spend a weeks worth of my families food on a belt, when a superior leather belt can be had for 1/3rd the price.

The "buttons" on the clamping shaft of the buckle are too small to use with gloves.
Assuming that your comment is a possibility, then I would also have problems operating the similarly sized magazine release button on my pistol. So far, that hasn't ever happened yet.They also can't be felt with cold or cold & wet hands.
