Advise on pistols with threaded barrel.

I want to get a pistol with a threaded barrel just in case the Hearing Protection bill passes.

My considerations are at Buds Guns and available:
1.S&W 10201 VICTORY 22LR 5.5 10R TB SS $384 with transfer
2.ATI GSG FIREFLY HGA 22LR 4 THRD GRN 10RD $248 with transfer.
3.Ruger SR 22 threaded barrel ( have 2) $150 shipped.

Reviews say S&W are excellent and the GSG is good. I am leaning more towards the GSG but I would like to hear(pun) someone opinion who has the pistols. I don't want to spend over the S&W in price.

Thank you

Of the three options you list, the Victory is the highest quality, "Target" type pistol. The other two are plinkers, and wont give the accuracy of the Victory.

Do you like shooting small groups on paper, and actually hitting things exactly where you want, or simply throw lead at things and giggle if you hit it? That should answer which one you want

Just want to throw lead quitely. Not a paper puncher.
Also noticed for $8 you can get a follower for the GSG to extend mag to 14 rounds.
Guess I will go with the GSG and order it tonight.
Even if the Feds legalize suppressors my State will probably have them still illegal to own. So I will go cheap and add it to My Wall of Diversity. :)

peggysue---I'm pretty sure you already know this but other folk read this thread as well. (And I suppose most of the are aware of this too but...)

Ruger is making and selling suppressors so that might influence a new buyer:

I got to shoot an S&W Victory recently and was really surprised at how solid the gun felt. Just as good as my Ruger Mark II target. IMhO just as good as a Buck Mark pistol.

And you might be onto something. The Hearing Protection bill might actually pass. Stranger things have happened like my state a few years ago allowing concealed carry. Next, IMhO get rid of the shoulder stock on handgun restriction.

Good luck.

Here you go. Picked it up yesterday.
A green 22LR GSG Firefly. (Used to be a labeled a Sig Mosquito) Made in Germany. Zink base metal however only $250. I got it for the threaded barrel. If Hearing Protection Bill passes and silencers go over the counter.
Also go extra mag and extended 14rd mag followers.

I'd focus more on the gun you want to buy, then purchase a threaded barrel for it. You can buy threaded barrels for most guns for about $100.

I looked again and saw that the OP was looking mainly for a .22 - in that case, I sort of like that GSG Firefly.

I sure did put it on wrong when I converted it to a 14rd... Good eye. havn't shot it yet. thanks. Not a Boberg...

Threaded barrels for 22's going for over $150 now days if you can find them in stock. Only $100 more and one can get a completed pistol. So I did.
