Dear TFL
I have recieved from government import permit.
I want to import 5 revolvers and 2 semi auto.
I want all of the to be collection pieces rather than CCW.
Please advise.

Got any old N-frame S&Ws yet? My Grandfather's pre-27 is my favorite revolver, a real classsic and it shoots like crazy.

If I could only get one .357 revolver, it would be the modern Aluminum 327 R8 M&P, or a all steel 627 V-Comp (47oz heavy). The cool factor is off the scale, as is performence.

And you have to get a snubby like an Airweight 638.

As far as 44mag, Ruger Redhawk, hands down because of there durability.

Semi? A 1911 (My choice would be Dan wesson) and a S&W M&P, or a Springfield XD.

Well I was thinking more of a following list:

1. SW 500 magnum scoped 12'' barrel
2. SW 460 magnum 2'' snub
3. Korth .357 4''
4. Manurhin .357 6''
5. A single action 45 LC by colt
6. Sig P220 SS Elite or Sig 1911 Platinum
7. Colt Delta Elite 10mm or HK45

Lahey, I dont have the SW you mentioned.

A pinned and recessed Smith and Wesson 4" Model 29, ivory stocks with partial scroll engraving comes to mind. Sort of a homage to Elmer Keith. I love the idea of the Korth and the Manhurin. A Sig 210 is on my dream list, and nothing outside of heaven has the balance and pointability of a Single Action Army. Colt or USFA. I prefer the .45 Colt with a 5 1/2" barrel but many like the 4 3/4" barrel.

If you get the Colt SAA you may want to consider having it worked over by Bob Munden. Aside from full race gun builds, he does about the best standad action jobs on these weapons as anyone out there. He can also do action jobs on the others by the way as well as custom grips.

Good luck.
