Advice on Grips for GP100

Anyone have a preference for aftermarket rubber grips for a 4" GP100? Stock grips aren't too bad for me since I don't have large hands, but I like shooting the magnum loads and wonder if other grips might make a slight difference in recoil\recovery?

Thanks in advance, and thanks for this great forum!

Hogue's rubber fingergroove grip works very well at covering the 'peg' and providing cushioning for the web of your hand, and seems to work well if your hands aren't BIG.
I use this grip on my GKGP-161. :)

I've got the Hogue rubber grip on my 4" GP-100 which is ok, but I much prefer the stock grip that comes with the 3" GP-100. It is smaller than the stock 4" GP-100 grip and, to me, feels really good in the hand.

Hogue monogrips are the ONLY way to go on most any handgun...their fit and finish are top notch and they are VERY comfortable for even the longest of range sessions. Ive tried pachmyers, stockers and a few others and always come back to hogue.

Houge

My problem with Houges is I have big hands an the grooves don't fit my fingers. I would say they are built for fairly small hands. Pachmayers are generally ugly but work ok for me.

I have come to the same conclusion. I have the rubber HOGUE monogrip on my 686-4 and Python 6". My 4" Python has the stock wood grips, and my GP100 6" and 3" has stock grips.

I get the best grouping w/ the 2 guns that have the Hogue grip, and I get pretty good grouping w/ the stock Ruger grips (they are actually quite comfortable for me). The stock wood grips on my 4" Python seems too big and "clumsy" as well as the S&W stock wood grips on my wife's M66 and 8" Python. I can't seem to get a good hold w/ the traditional wood grips...they seem to transfer more recoil also IMO.

Don't like the finger grooves on the standard Hogue? Me neither. I have enormous, NBA sized hands and so Hogue makes this for guys like me.

My middle finger falls neatly in the top groove and the offending second groove is gone.

I guess I am the odd ball here. I hate rubber grips on revolvers and they are only made worse with finger grooves.

The only rubber grips I can stand are the plain jane Pachmayr Presentation grips. They are ugly but at least they don't feel like playdough.
