Advice on Bedding

I am going to bed a Savage 12VBSS-S. Since it is a solid receiver, the only problem is what to use in the laminated stock to fill the routed out magazine area.
Should this be wood epoxied in, then Marine-Tex bedding to fill all areas including pillars? I plan to rout out a little around the pillars to set them solid in epoxy, then the entire action, with the barrel full floated. It shoots around 1/2 minute with select handloads, but I want to make sure it stays shooting that way.
Your input will be appreciated.

If it shoots 1/2 minute, why are you going to rebed the thing? Sounds to me like the folks at Savage knew what they were doing.

Thanks, I will leave well enough alone.
