I am wanting to get a revolver but am not sure what to get. I want something that is better quality than the heritage rough rider but something cheaper than a ruger single six. Does anyone have any recomendations?

That's a rough price point to say. I've seen very nice used single sixes go for $250, so to me it sounds like you are asking for a 22lr revolver that is between $150-300 dollars that is better quality than the heritage rough rider, and I don't know of one that is currently in production. There are some that are not made anymore that might suit your needs, but they can be harder to find than the $250 single six. I am thinking used Colt new frontier, H&R 999(?), High Standard.

The only thing is i dont know if i would want to buy a used gun but it might be my best option because i realy like the ruger single six but a new one costs way too much for me to spend.

I would look for a used H&R Model 999. They are 9-shot double action 22 revolvers. Honestly speaking however, a used Single Six would suit you better since that is what you really want.

I am not a fanboy of the H&R, but many really like that revolver. I just didn't have great luck with mine years ago and would never buy another.

Used nice Colt New Frontiers and Peacemaker 22's generally run more than new Ruger Single Six's.

Ruger supposedly makes an 8 shot SP101 in 22 LR with a 4.2" bbl. I'm holding out for one of these if they ever get around to distributing them.

A friend of mine has one. He is currently lifting weights so he can muster the strength to pull the 500# trigger.

500 pound trigger?! What kind of corporate joke is that? They raise bill up again? That's terrible. It looks so nice in the window thru the glass...

The Bearcat mentioned is always a good choice for the price.

$10(or less) wolff spring kit and you can have a nice 10-12# DA pull on the sp101.

This is my first post and new to forum so Im just asking, why the dislike for Heritage? I have shot them for years and have two of them a 6 1/2 and a 9 in.I know they are not the quality of my Ruger SS but for the money they shoot just as good.Everyone has the right to buy what they like, just saying they are a good gun for the money. GOOG LUCK what ever you buy.;)
