Should I take my Glock 30 .45 ACP to a gunsmith? Or, just be thankful something bad didn't happen.
I accidently fired a box of .45 GAP ammo through it.
I thought I was dealing with a magazine seating issue. I didn't catch the error until it was all over and I was picking up my brass. I apparently mislabeled the GAP reloads as ACP. Sidenote: I don't have a GAP anymore and had pulled the components when I traded the GAP off.
The 30 handled it fairly well. Loading the first round in the magazine was the major issue and an occasion fail-to-feed afterwards. I didn't experience any ejection problems. To make matters worse, before I caught on to my error, I opened a box of .45 ACP ammo to further test the 30. When it fired the first magazine flawlessly, I loaded several more times for some rapid fire drills. It worked flawlessly.
I took it apart after I discovered my mistake. Nothing appeared out of ordinary.
Thanks for you advice.
