the Novak front sight on my S&W1911 is tight, real tight and needs to be adjusted to correct POA/POI slightly...

other than beating the part into submission with a brass drift, is there any cool tool that will "gently" move the sight in the dovetail???

thanks inadvance for any advice...

Is the front sight centered on the top of the slide?
If so then fix aiming problems with the rear sight, where it is supposed to be done, A front sight pusher is to install the sight, to the center of the slide, POA/POI is done at the rear sight

Dove tailed front sights are installed in a tapered dovetail and they go in from right to left. They are smacked in and are lodged in the cut close to center. The brass drift is "The Cool Tool" that I use if I have to tewak them and then I remove the brass marks with cold blue. My advice? Leave it alone and adjust the rear sight!
