Adjusting fixed sights?

I have a glock 34 that I would like to put TFO, tritium/fiber optic sights on.

However, I'm concerned that since they are fixed sights, I will be left with my gun not aiming exactly where the bullets are going. I will primarily use the gun for steel and IDPA so accuracy is important.

Aside from adjusting the rear sight by tapping it with a punch, is there any way I can adjust the elevation if I find its off once I install the sights? For example, could I remove the front sight and remove or add small amounts of material to change its size?

"...remove or add small amounts of material to change its size..." Yep. Removing material is easy, adding it isn't though. Changing the load you use is easier. Mind you, when you change the sights you'll have to work up the load again anyway. Put the sights on and shoot the pistol before you do anything. It may be fine for elevation right away. Then adjust the rear sight.
 
I guess you could take some material off and drift it in further : D How about you get an adjustable rear sight? ehh?
