I recently pulled a shotgun out of the closet this weekend that I have never fired, its an old JChiggens pump, 12guage 2 3/4" on the end of the barrel is muzzle break (looks like anyways) that is about 1.5" long and has linear ports and on the end of that is a knurled fitting with markings on it, it is an adjustable choke that can adjust to all choke settings from full-cyl. its pretty cool but I dont really know how effective it is has anybody heard of this or had any experience with it?

People either love or hate the Polychoke, Clectchoke and so on. Try it out an see if it works for you.

Be advised the choke markings are educated guesses. A little patterning will aid you greatly in exploring and determining the correct settings with your loads...

HTH....

I had a poly-choke on my old Mossy bolt action 12 and loved it, the barrel was 30 inch and I could close it down for turkey or open it up some for grouse and quail...worked great for me.
I wish I could get one for my 500 now

I never cared for the looks of them, but my shooting buddy of 45 years had one installed about that long ago on his Ithaca 37. It has served him well and he likes it.

yea i got one on a sears ted williams 20 gauge. probably a jc higgins. dad says its called an imperial choke. works great but watch out because while i was patterning this gun about a month ago i noticed that when i changed the choke the aim would change just a little at 50 yards
