Adjustable cheekpiece for scoped M1A?

Has anyone built there own adjustable cheekpiece for thier scoped M1A? If so, how did you go about doing it? Im trying to avoid "strap-on" risers, or anything that isnt perminant. Thanx -
 
Semi-permanent, but not adjustable.

This one just happened to give me the right amount of comb rise:

It's a HK G3/HK91 comb riser, but it's good for any rifle with a straight stock that can accept two wood screws. Resin plastic, so you can contour it to your own preferences, and is easily painted. Federal Arms has them, but I don't know if they have an online website yet.
