adj. P-90 sights
Thankfully I had very complete instructions prior to doing the "sight cleaning". It's a shame to have to even keep dancing around this business. Ruger by now is well aware the problem exists, if they didn't know before releasing the gun. It would seem to be more in keeping with their status and reputation to redesign this mess; get the guns back for retrofit and be done with it. It's an unrealistic expectation for the gun community who has long since become accustomed to dry firing of modern handguns as part of technique and training to accept an inferior and meaningless cobble to stand in the way of this routine and beneficial process.
I've talked to another member of TFL who has had a major failure of his P-345, that appears to be associated with this mangled disconnect device, that required replacement of several parts including the barrel! I know, I know ... no point in getting my shorts in a knot until it has happened to me, but hell what fun is a new gun that you hold your breath every time you use it; the days of the "zip gun" for self defense are hopefully way behind us. Okay, I'll go take my blood pressure meds and shut up now. -- bowhair
