Adding more rounds to you magazine

Hey guys I guess this is the area for custom type mods . I been picking up a few of the schmidt-Rubin K31's ...I'm up to 5 now ... and I'm getting them cheap in good shape .
I would like to increase the 5 rounds to atleast ten ...I have a full machining and welding shop .
I was going to order 2 magazines and cut the bottom off one and the top off the other and weld them together .
The only issue may be finding the right spring .
Anyone ever build there own or increase a magazines lenght ?
Thanks

K-31

Sir:
I guess there are a few of us that really love the K-31, I do - but I think I like mine with the stock magazine as is. But I wish you success,

Thats why I am not expermenting on my stock magazine ...I like them too but would like to have a mag for this gun that holds more than 5 rounds

I've seen repaired magazine springs, and lengthened springs done by using a crimped-on "clip" to join the two halves.

The lengthened spring was two springs with the crimped-on clip joining them together.
The only tough part is getting the clip thin and narrow enough to fit into the magazine.

Another option is to use a close size clock spring to make a new spring.
Watch and clock maker's supply houses carry a huge assortment of clock springs, sold by width, thickness (strength) and length.
