Added another revolver to my small arsenal.

Went to the gun show on Sunday, looking to add a short barreled 357 to my arsenal. I presently have 4 revolvers with medium to long barrels. I have several auto’s. Two of them are 9mm Berettas. I took the older of the two, to use as trading stock. Lots of short barreled 357’s were available. Mostly Ruger and Taurus with several Charter arms, one Rossi and two Rhinos and one S&W. The dealer with the Rhinos wanted $675 plus my Beretta for the 200D Rhino. That seemed a little out of line. I decided on the S&W 66-4 with a 2 ½ inch barrel. Got a much better deal from the dealer that had that gun. Nice gun and in excellent condition. Internally it is clean, just needs to have the outside cleaned up a little. Here is a Picture.

$675 AND your Beretta?

Great deal. For him.

MSRP on the Rhino is, I think $750.

So he wanted WELL over MSRP.

And they are just ugly as sin.

Yep, the OP did good passing on the Rhino. Bud's has one for about $725 shipped, so $675 cash plus the Beretta 9mm (worth perhaps $350 in trade) equals ripoff of the day.

I've got a 2.5" 66-1 on my hip right now. These guns are fun to shoot and easy to conceal. Great find!

You will like the 66 Snub. I have an old No Dash that I like pretty well. I just added a new set of S&W finger groove checkered Rosewood grips to it. That dolled it up a little.
Ray at Lobo made me an Enhanced Pancake holster for it. A K Frame S&W revolver is pretty hard to beat.

The Rhino might be good for some. I personally would not have traded your Beretta even for one.

You did well! When buying a rev I would stick with the well known makers.
I had problems with the lesser known makers.Learned from my mistake!I tried to save a couple bucks and lost more when I sold it.I just love my S&Ws revolvers!

It was listed for $595. I paid the differance of $145 and my Beretta.

The price on the 66 was high, but you did get a very good deal on the trade. You got $450 for a gun that usually sells for about, $400 to $450 used (I'm guessing the dealer will probably slap a NIB price on that Berretta).

Nice job!
