Add Mark Wahlberg to the list of antis!

Well, I watched the MTV Movie Awards Last night. Not a bad show - lots of T&A to go around. Pretty funny stuff, too.

However, "Marky Mark" Mark Wahlberg presented an award for "best villain". He said that they should skip the nominees, and give the award of Best Villain to Charlton Heston for being the president of the NRA. His cute little comment was met with EXTREMELY little response from the crowd, which was surprising, considering all the Hollywood types in the audience. It made my blood boil a little, however. Add him to the list, fellas.

For those of you who don't know who he is, he recently starred in "The Big Hit", "The Corruptor", and "Boogie Nights". He's the brother of Donnie Wahlberg who was in New Kids On The Block, and he started his career in the early 90's as a goofy pseudo-rapper called Marky Mark. He was a moron then - not much has changed.

I should avoid the dead-horse-beating comment that gun control should only apply to rappers, but I can't help myself.

many years ago ol' Dorky Dork was charged with A&B for the beating he and his ass-kisser entourage applied to a guy for not allowing them to take over a basketball court and use his Bball. Funny how brave these rappers are when they're surrounded by their crew and are all packing.

What a dork to publicly (to borrow from the vernacular) "diss" one of Hollywood's most respected actors.

I'm glad someone as prominent in the Hollywood world as Charlton Heston accepted the position of president of the NRA. It has really helped to draw the dividing line in the sand on RKBA.

Just another washed-up teen idol looking to ride the anti-gun wave into the press for a while, he probobly dosen't even know one bit about the anti- pro- struggle.

Marky Mark was never a rapper. He thought he was; kind of like Minut Bol thought he was a basketball player. :-)

I am not quite sure, but I believe most of what they say is on a prompter. I am not particularlly fond of Wahlberg, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I was channel flipping today and I just happened to land on the awards show that this idiot was on. After he made his little comment, George Cloony nodded his head.
Some of these actors are such dumbasses, yet they think they have some special insight into things not even remotely connected to entertainment.

Mendacity is the system we live in.

Wahlberg is a joke, even amongst hollywood types.

However, looking at that scene next to others, what he said about Heston seemed a little spontaneous (he seemed to interrupt the others uncomfortably rather than the typical pause). He may have made it up at the last minute.

Just imho.

Battler.

Why does anyone believe that a celebrity's opinion is more valid than that of any average person? Maybe they get more attention, but asking an actor for political guidance is like asking your barber about your car's transmission.

I went to school with this bozo and his brother Donnie. They are two faced! They have in the past also said they are against drugs. I guess they were against other people using drugs.

Hipocracy seems to be the norm in hollywood.

I wouldn't be surprised if more celebrities come out and voice their dislike for guns.

Its OK to make millions of dollars in a movie glamorizing guns and violence but its not Ok to legally own and shoot our guns in sport.

OOOOOOOOOkkkk aaaaayyyyyy

I think the lack of response from the crowd, is from the ignorance of the gen x crowd. I bet very few know who heston is, Especially in the mtv crowd.

Old Frank Zappa put it best:

"I'm gross and perverted,
Obsessed and deranged,
I have existed for years,
And very little has changed.
I'm a tool of the government,
And industry too,
For I am bound and determined
To regulate you!
I'm vile and pernicious,
But you can't run away,
I make you think I'm delicious
With the stuff that I say.
I am the best you can get.
Have you guessed me yet?
I'm the slime oozing out of your TV set."
