    1. Copying and pasting entire articles from another site to TFL is strictly prohibited. The same applies to articles from print or other media, and to posting photographs taken of copyrighted pages or other media.

    2. Copyright law provides for “fair use” of portions of a copyrighted work. You can copy no more than a SINGLE paragraph from the article to your post (3 or 4 sentences at most).

    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

Posts that do not follow these new guidelines will be altered or deleted by staff. Members who continue to violate this policy may lose their posting privileges at TFL.

What about adding a knife section? I think it would be a good addition to TFL, as many people EDC knives along with there firearms. Just a thought...

Yes, I suppose that would be nice but the more Sub-Catagories you create, the least likely that folks can find them and use them. A classic example is the M/L Garage Sale Sub. Cat. All too often folks don't even know it's there, let alone use it. I vote YES but not a big deal either way. ... :)

There's not much point in telling us what forums we do have here at TFL in an attempt to rationalize a reason for adding an edged weapons forum. It won't work.

As Rifleman1776 said, there are lots of knife BB's out in the hinterwebs. One of the best is BladeForums.com.

A firearms forum that does have an edged weapons forum is TheHighroad.org. Many of the members here are members there as well.

Gear and Accessories seems a good enough place for discussion about blades.
No - it isn't. That forum is for firearms gear and accessories. While topics such as hunting knives probably wouldn't be deleted, other categories of knives would be OT. Hunting knives and their usage is also pretty much on topic in The Hunt Forum.

Most people that use firearms also use knives.
Not sure if that was serious or a joke, probably the latter. But, let me add that most people that use firearms also use [insert any commonly used noun here]. So should we also add a forum for [commonly used noun] here at TFL?
;) back atcha!

Further discussion is pointless - so this one's closed.
