Actor Oldman Says Studio Democrats Ruined The Contender

The long odds are, Gary Oldman will never work in Hollywood again, or if so, his parts will be tiny ones in very low budget movies.

By the way, Steven Speilberg is a "shooter," but he thinks our firearms, you know, those belonging to us serfs and slaves, must be confiscated by his commmunistnazi polticios.
Not his, of course: he likes to shoot.

As I've said so often, Hollywood is controlled by the Mega Millionaire Marxists and the Billionaire Bolsheviks.

Did you notice the way the writer discredits Oldman from the start by calling him cantankerous? It makes it seem that everything is fine, it's just Oldman being a jerk. Whoever wrote that story is just as bad as the film makers.

As mentioned above, I suspect Mr. Oldman can use all the support he can get.

RHC, a lengthier story I read today indicates that Oldman was shown an early cut of the film that portrayed his character -- a Republican leader -- in a more positive light, i.e. as a person with both good and bad attributes. However, the version of the film that was released had all the positive scenes of Oldman's character cut out so that he would appear unambiguously evil. The studio responded by saying that the version Oldman was shown was never intended for release.

Wow. Oldman is a conservative? I never knew. Interesting, too...since I have always thought him to be an excellent actor who has been saddled with some pretty horrid roles (for instance, I seem to remember him being in The Fifth Element- 'nuff said).

BTW, both Oldman and Tim Roth were fantastic in Stoppard's 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead'...well worth viewing if you're into Shakespeare and quirky british humour (which I am).

Cheerio and all that, eh wot?

This case will demonstrate why celebrities don't speak out for anything but left wing causes.

Singer "Jewel" came on TV and basically argued for total and utter communism - I don't hear anyone call her "communist nutball" in print or on TV.

Gary Oldman is screwed. He just threw his career away.

Any any conservative element left in Hollywood will learn well to keep their mouths shut.

Battler,

All is not lost. Two of the most powerful men in Hollywood are Conservatives, Arnold Schwarzneger and Bruce Willis. 2nd Amendment issues are the kiss of death, however. I don't know how Rick Schroeder has held onto his role on "NYPD Blue" with his strong support for the NRA. I was sure he would've been blackballed like Tom Selleck by now.

Still don't get what Selleck was doing on "Running mates" - a democratic feel good movie.

Then this latest republican bashing movie.

Man, the bias is unequivocal.

It is simple when you look at this through the class system.
Hollywood is a section of the ruling political class. This class is Hard-Core NeoSocialist.

How can he say studio Democrats ruined this picture? It was a POS from the get-go.

Oldman is one of the executive producers of the movie. Thus, he has the right to publicly complain about it: he put up a LOT of money to make the film, and feels he didn't get what he paid for.

Executive producer? Good, that means he probably has money. Which means I won't have to see him out on the street begging just because of his beliefs and convictions.

All the pro-second guys should start their own movie company, and do movies with realistic gunfights, and good guys that aren't cops, and carry guns *gasp*

Imagine the terror that would instill in Hollywood. I'd pay to see ANY movie those guys came out with.

You know, that's what we need, Celebrity Advocates of the Second Ammendment(CASA). Get all the NRA celebs and have them unionize, lol. I'd love to see them try to get rid of real bigshots that signed on.
