Action Figures

Having wrked on advertising various dolls/action figures, I have realized my own willingness to pay for that kind of silly things. Specifically, I would like Wild Bunch and US Congress/House bundled as a playset. Anyone?

Maybe I ought to get some more coffee before I post...

Really?? Action Figures??

You should see the "Tank Girl" barbie on my Monitor.

Been collecting 12 inch GI Joes since I was a kid. Put in for a job at Hasbro this year hahaha.

Cool Action Figure sites:

Action Figures (12 inch) I'd like to see:

Rat Patrol Figure(s) and jeep. Would be REALLY cool if they could get one that looked like Christopher George.

Kelly's Heros (hey if they make a bob hope why not a don rickles?) Odd Ball in german tanker leathers would be a scream woof woof baby!

GI Jane (as in demi moore as Gi jane) Should come with a shaved head and SEAL gear.

The cast of VIP (because I'm evil)

Alien/Aliens/Resurrection

Starship Troopers

hahahah

You know at my magazine we once asked our subscribers to draw/describe themselves as action figures and accessories.. was a fun project.

Take Care,

Dr.Rob

Ran across a rosie the "cow" barbie yesterday in wallyworld. Plus they had a fat talking doll of rosie also.

Love to see Rat Patrol and Kellys Heroes out in action figures!!

Quake, Duke Nukem and other not-really-for-kids cool gun-toting figures are available for about $10, likely at your local comic book store.

You haven't seen action figures until you've seen The Ultimate Soldier.

Ever since my girlfriend got me this guy for Valentines day, I can't stop buying them!!!!

The company that makes them is 21st Century Toys, and can be found at http://www.21stcenturytoys.com

If you want your own little Waco diorama, they are now selling SWAT action figures as well, and will have the M2 Bradley later this year. This is the company that caused all the hubub with the "Terrorist" action figure that had the misfortune to be scheduled for release right when Columbine happened. The terrorists are available by mail order, but don't look for them in Sears, too many people claiming that they were "cashing in" on the tragedy (Nevermind that the figure was scheduled to be released before then...)

Anyhow, these things are the coolest ever. They make GI Joe look like a sissyboy, no lie. Lots of attention to detail, lots of cool accessories and they are oh so photogenic... just what you need to do when you can't go to the range - build sandtables and diorama's!

Some of those higher end actione figures are so realistic you can cycle the actions of there weapons...
Blatant Exageration

But they really are pretty cool.
Action figures are pretty popular here where I work. You will see quite a few gracing the monitors or tower cases.

Mine got swiped a few months ago... Instead of an Ugly Grunt - I had Laura Croft... :)

Rat,

I think a line of politco action figures would be cool. You could even market diorama type buildings, like say a house and senate floor complete with "backroom" for cutting sleazy political deals.

An oval office would be cool too... it would have to come complete w/cigars and fat intern. The possibilities are almost endless.

It's for the children.

Really cool WW2 action figures (scary stern 1000 yard stare faces though) and new vehicles (dude I am BUYING that helicopter!!!!)

Seen at Toys r Us 29th Division trooper and Wermacht infantry.

Happy shopping!!

Thanks a bunch guys, go and get me hooked on ANOTHER toy :)

Now we off to see if any of the local toy shops carry The Ultimate Soldier line. I want to put togeather one and take it to work as my mascott. Now to just get them to make A Modern USAF Security Forces outfit.

Any Recommended mail order outfits where you can just get certain items, or with really good prices??

UPDATE:
Nobody in town has more than 2-3 of the WWII figures (German) and they only have a few of the WWII outfits and weapon packs. Found what weems like a good web site http://justicefighters.safeshopper.com/index.htm?48388 and ordered a AF dude along with a MP outfit and a couple of other things.
