Action bar for winchester model 25

I have a friend who just bought a Winchester model 25 pump shotgun. It is in rough shape and the action bar is broken. I believe that is what the part is called, its the part that connects the pump handle to the bolt. Because it is broken you can pump the gun, but the bolt doesn't move.

Does anyone know of a place that might have a replacement part? I don't know how common these are, I believe they stopped producing them in the early 50's.

According to 1079's era NRA shoulder arm manual...

the M25 Winchester was and Solid frame duplicate of the M12 takedown and use SOME parts were inter-changeable, maybe locate an M12 part and compare with the broken M25 part???

Google winchester collector forums and register to ask there also???

It is not assembled incorrectly, it is actually broken. We thought about welding/grinding it, which should work if we cant find another part. Even if the weld breaks it is not a critical component to the integrity of the shotgun.

Thanks for the help guys, it is much appreciated. if anyone else has any more information please share!

I used to fix these by brazing them, almost like a weld but not as much heat, uses brass rod and flame. Them model 1200s had them bars break at the top, a braze job fixed many of them I repaired.
