I know, OEM is best... but money is an issue at times.

I ordered three ACT magazines for my P220 based on good reviews. ive never had anything other than OEM magazines for my semi-autos so this will be a first for me.

anyone use ACT magazines regularly? what are your opinions of this brand? anyone use them for their Sigs?

I use both ACT and Mecgar for 1911's and a Beretta 21A.

The only issue I've ever had with the ACT mags were brittle floor plates. Apparently there was a batch that went out many years ago that weren't right. When I contacted ACT they sent a bunch of the newer ones no charge and haven't had a problem since.

I do believe that both ACT and Mecgar supply OEM magazines to a number of firearm manufacturers.

My full size RIA 1911s (.45acp) came with 8-round ACTs. Though I mostly use 7-round magazines, the ACTs have been flawless and appear well made imo.

Ten or more years ago, 8rd "1911" mags were known for cracking.
The manufacturer claimed the problem was caused by the slide striking the tube as it returned to battery, but I had three Novak-branded mags with no evidence of slide impact, and all were cracked after little use.
While in use, the mags performed very well. I sold them to a friend, with a recommendation that he get some more.
We were discussing the cracking issue. I grabbed one of his mags to show him where cracks were known to appear, and sure enough, it was cracked. Within a month, all six of his mags had cracked.
I don't know if the problem was improper tempering of the tube, or if the problem affected other ACT-Mag products?
