Now comes in colors other than black. Tan, kinda O.K. Purple - Is there a new Interior Decorator in Hartford?

Camo colors are one thing but I'm not a fan of bright colors for firearms. Serious colors for serious tools.
 
I'll keep my Sig P238, thank you. Even though sig has the "rainbow' which looks like it should belong to a pimp, they have a good product...complete with night sights. Like you, I'm not a fan of crazy colors in a gun.... but to each his own.

I had an original Colt Mustang Pocketlite. It would reliably feed only ball ammo. But for a .380, that was sufficient...IMO. When they got so pricey back in the mid-90's, I allowed someone else to enjoy it.

I'm not a fan of the bright colors either. However, someone in their research department must realize there is a market out there for colorful firearms.
Gee.. Let me think on that up and growing market for a bit….
I have a suspicion a bright purple, screaming pink, chartreuse, turquoise, etc, firearm could inflict just as much serious injury to someone as a black one could. It goes beyond the color of the firearm last time I checked….
 
I can see the need for criminals to use bright colored guns so the LEO has to hesitate thinking it's a government mandated brightly colored toy!:(
 
I have one of the new Pocketlites and it feeds ball just fine. I plan to try some of the Winchester PDX .380 ammo to see how well it feeds. Yea, the sights less than steller, but like a switchblade, it's a up close & personal weapon. And it's not purple. Sig cand turn out some wild colors on some of it's pistols also. I guess it's an aquired taste.
 
Ack to all of the poly Mustangs... that goofy squared trigger guard kills the classic 1911 looks.
Besides that.. the proper looking aluminum version is not even 1 ounce heavier, why bother with poly?
As a bonus, the all-metal version will probably hold its value better too...
 
So if the polymer Colt Mustang can be referred to as the Colt Mustang II (not Plus II), then is Ford Mustang to Ford Mustang II the same as Colt Mustang is to Colt Mustang II?

Yep, had the Ford Mustang II back in the day; nothing like a real Ford Mustang.
 
I had a '66 and still have a '67 (drove it to work today, in fact). They are great cars.

My friend had a Mustang II. It was an excremental extravaganza.
 
I have come around to accepting polymer guns, but I hate when the marketing department takes a classic name and slaps it onto a gun that has nothing to do with the original. (Remington 51, Smith & Wesson Bodyguard, Colt Mustang, etc.) And while we're at it, a Dodge Charger does NOT have 4 doors. :p
