ACF 50 as a lube: any firearm lubing properties?

As some may know I recently bought my first pistol: a 3rd gen G19.

Last week I cleaned it for the first time, and lubed it as advised by my local stockist: basically not a lot, only on the rails in the frame.

Anyway, I used their recommended synthetic lubricant called Forrest. However, I also find, amongst my bike tools, a can of ACF50: a spray of almost god-like properties for the biking fraternity.

Whilst I have my gun oil spray, I was interested to know if this was something other owners have used in the passed and to what effect: always good to have a back-up given my ability to mislay things I only have one of...

ACF-50 is similar to WD40.

It is mainly an anti-corrosion treatment. The moving parts that is it used on bicycles and aircraft are much different than the parts on a firearm.

You'd have to check to see what kind of film it is leaving.

WD-40 leaves a film that is lubricious at first but over time it turms gummy.
