I went the cheap route and just purchased the Volquartsen trigger and target sear. Very happy with results. Trigger pull is just a shade over 2 lbs. and seems to be getting smoother the more I shoot. Still a fair amount of take-up and just the slightest bit of side to side play, but not bad at all for a drop in part. I hear the Clark trigger is supposed to fit a little tighter, but I prefer a wider trigger for target shooting. No experience with the V-Comp. Last thing I want to do is add more weight to that gun.
I've been thinking of the same thing and after looking around on: http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/52578?it=12 it looks like the thing that lightens the trigger the most is replacing the target sear.
If you want less travel in the trigger, then get one of the replacement triggers. Lots of folks seem to like the Clark over the Vq.
All the rest of the stuff in the accurizing kit seems to be fluff - and mucking around in your gun too much may leave you worse off.
The comp looks cool, but seems to be most important for rapid firing. Some folks said that on the 6 7/8 barrel, the comp makes the gun so heavy, you should start a weight training program.
Lots of folks swear by the trigger shield - I'll probably pick one up along with the target sear, since a lot of crap _does_ seem to get into the trigger action.
