Ok, i have a rem 22 cal remington fieldmaster 572 pump rifle...wiht no scope in warm conditions, it seemed pretty darn acccurate, even at 100 yds...

i put a scope on it this winter...and i have sighted it in at 30 yds and only put two bullets within 1 inch of each other out of 50 shots...the scope is tight all the way around...BUT, it was -15...and the first shot seemed to be consistent if i did not pop off any more to heat up the barrel????? would that matter...it seemd that the second shot was going high and then the next would walk all over the place....so, if i was 1 inch high at 30, then i was like 3 high at 50 and at 100 the bullet appeared to still be risign to liek 6 high and 6 right!!!!.....geeeezzzzzzz....it totally freaked me out...

also, would it matter if i use hollow points or solids?....it seems to me that solids would be better with ballistics...???? i dont' neeed hollow points, i need pentration into a fox skull...

oh, the scope is a $50 burris?...hey, i've had 20 buck scopes on a 22 that did great for years!!!!......oh, the barrel was not clean....????

what do you think..

Dear Sir:
Great old rifle!
I feel it's the temperature - particularly if you're using Remington!
Try Winchester Wildcat or Super-X.
Remington in a 10-22 bor semi-auto - you can hear the difference. Try it.
