Accuracy,For CZ75 Kadet Owners!

Hello all,
I happen to be a proud CZ Kadet owner, I love the design and the sights, and the feel is just perfect, to say nothing of shooting .22 vs 9mm, the cost benefit is substantial. I have had my pistol for just over a year now and was happy with it.

The only thing that I was not happy with, was the accuracy. I noticed that the slide was not really tight compared to the 9mm. Meaning that I noticed some play in the slide. So I tried something, I wrapped electrical tape to the portion of the slide that houses the recoilspring, and fits into the "dummy slide", and sure enough the improvement in accuracy is amazing, from about 3.5 inches at 10 yards, it came down to about 1.0 inches. I use Federal classics and they are just a pleasure to shoot.

I thought you Kadet owners would be interested.
Regards,
Anand

Did you buy your Kadet as a conversion, or a new gun. I just bought the kit and it had to be "fitted" to my 9mm frame. The part in the front of the slide was oversize and had to be filed to fit. Do you have any play in the parts where the front of the frame slide rails fit to the Kadet slide? Mine is very snug where those two parts connect but there is slight movement in the back. Mine shoots about 1" at 30' with the Federal Wally World bulk pack ammo. It's only had 100 rounds through it so far, so I'm sure it hasn't been completely broken in yet.

Good shootin to ya

I bought mine as a complete pistol so it did not need any fitting. I was talking about the play in the "little" slide thats part of the main slide towards the back, near the hammer.
