accuracy and a hinge action

What kind of accuracy can be expected from a good break-open single shot? With a heavy barrel. It isn't a Thompson, and I can't remember the name right off hand. thanks

They can be VERY accurate. Both the front and the rear sights are on the barrel - they can be tackdrivers if its set up right. I think New England Arms makes them... They are just like the Shotgun...
They are just handicapped by the one single shot.

break action rifles

I have an old Stevens/Savage break action in .22Hornet that will do <MOA as long as you want to pull the trigger... As long as the lock-up is tight they are very accurate.

break opens

I had a TCR 87 in .243 from TCs custom shop. They are difficult to greak open when set-up on a shooting bench. Additionally I encountered scope problems from the impact of closing the action. Could never get beyond a decent 2 shot group.
