Accuracy advice: Kimber Ultra Carry

I need some advice to make shooting my Kimber Ultra Carry CDP more enjoyable. Since day one, it has consistently shot low and to the right. At 15yds, POI is 4" down and 4" to the right of center and at 25yds, POI is OFF an 8.5x11" target. Yes, another shooter who is far more accomplished than I am, has duplicated my embarassing results. Also, I have rested the pistol on my range bag with no improvement.

What are my options?! Do I attempt to correct this myself or contact a professional? [BTW, my gunsmithy skills are limited to field stripping]

Though the front and rear sights appear driftable, the top of the Kimber's slide is rounded and I'm afraid they'll end up hanging off the edge. Should I drift both the front and rear sights or just one? However, this only addresses my windage issue and not the height of impact.

If I go with a professional, I've heard that barrel sighting it not as reliable as actually shooting it in a ransom rest. Is this true? What should I expect to pay for a professional to sight it in? What should I expect to pay for a professional to sight in new aftermarket sights? MMC adjustable?

I would send it back to Kimber and ask them to dial it in.

Tell them in a note that it has a dangerous condition and you don't feel qualified to fix it.

I bet they will fix it or sight it in for free for you.
