Accuracy 1st Level H3 (Tritium Glow Vial) Installation/Upgrade

This is a guide on how to upgrade your accuracy 1st Level with an H3 vial. https://www.accuracy1stdg.com/store/catDetail.cfm?catID=64 To order this vial, which is specifically sized, and shaped to work correctly in the level, the only site I know of that sells them is here T15x3x16G Vials - Tritium Vials, Tritium Markers/Key fobs and Titanium items. These cost 22$ each, and the 5$ for shipping. The order was purchased on 6Nov/2015, and acknowledged payment the same day. The order was reported as shipped on the 11Nov2015, The post office reported it received on the 13Nov2015, and it arrived on 27Nov2015. So from start to finish it takes almost a month to receive under standard shipping. You can pay extra for expedited. The vial size is 1.5x3x16mm and rectangular shape. It is extremely important that you only use rectangular shaped H3 vials, a round vial, paired up to a round level will not work. If you know of another source to find this exact size and shape, and in different colors please share it with us. Currently you can only get them in green. The good thing about this setup, is that a user can replace the vial at any time they feel it is beginning to die out.

Installation

The vial comes in a sealed foil package. Once you open that, it is in a plastic case with protective padding.

Once you open it, you find the vial, which when new glows bright enough to see it glowing in regular light.

Here you can see these are thin rectangular H3 vials.

To install these, we need to remove the rubber backing from the Accuracy 1st Level. Simply use a pin to remove one edge, then pull off the piece.

Once we have the backing off, you can see both the level, and that the H3 vial fits perfectly in the slot.

I recommend you turn the level vertical, so that the H3 Vial drops right in.

There is a little room to adjust the vial left or right. I recommend you move the vial slightly to the outside of the level before sealing it in. Once you are done simply place the seal back on the level.

Once completed, you can now replace these vials whenever you feel it is necessary. These vials Should last 10+ years.
