Accidently shot myself in the finkle bone!

I just called it that because I thought it was funny and would get more responces. I have a mossburg 835 pump action 12 gauge. It accepts all shells from 2 3/4 inch to 3 1/2 inch magnums. I want to shoot some slugs out of it but don't know what kind of choke to put in it. Should I put in a loose skeet choke? Or no choke at all? Will that tear up the threads used to screw in the choke?

Put cylinder bore in, but DON'T shoot it without a choke installed. Not good for the pattern or the gun....

Can I get a cylinder bore (I assume that's a choke) at wal-mart or is it more specialized than that? If not wal-mart where can I get one?
 
Do not use slugs in a standard 835 barrell!!!!

The 835 barrel is back bored and over bored to allow for the larger collumn of shot to 10 gage specifications. The manual specifies using the rifled slug barrel for the 835 as that barrel is made to twelve gage bore specs. Using a slug in an 835 bird barrel is NOT recommended. For the price of a new 835 deer/slug barrel you can have a purpous built model 500 with a rifled slug barrel. Read your manual regarding the use of slugs in the 835. :)
 
Bought it use from a guy in the paper classifieds. No manual came with it. It sais right on the barrel "Not for use with slugs" but that's not set in stone, if you know what I mean.
 
I have an 835 and ended up buying a seperate slug barrel. With the overbore of the 835 barrel it isnt a good idea to shoot slugs with the gun.
