I ran across an intersting looking Springfield Armory 1911 at the gun show. It was only $550 NIB. It was a commander sized weapon, had a dull greenish or greyish finish, Novaks, checkered front strap (20 LPI I'm guessing, kind of rough) and I think ambi-safety. It had "Super Tuned" on the slide in script. Was this what they put out before the "Loaded" packages? Does it have any enhancements aside from parts, trigger or slide work to earn the "Super-tuned" moniker or is that sales hype for adding parts and checkering? Seemed like a heck of a deal to me, nothing on the web site to indicate it is still sold. Info appreciated.
