Remington kid

On one of the antique gun sites has me drooling all over my key board after looking at some of the best looking original Remington's I have ever seen. Just can't afford what they are getting for them......
Anyway I was looking at two .36 , 1861 Navys and one .44, 1861 Army .They all have the adjustable ( Drift ) front sights and are beautiful guns... BUT!... one of the Navys has the threads of the barrel showing from the side just like the 1858's and the other one don't. What's up with that???? I thought all the 1861's were the same and that no breach threads were showing, In fact they don't even have that cut out between the cylinder and the barrel but this one does.
Any ideas on this or is something just not right with this 1861 Navy? , Mike
