Well, I have an AB-10 and its actually a pretty decent pistol, for the money. It functions well, is more accurate than you'd imagine (even with its horrid sights), and it's just plain fun. Of course it's heavy, awkward and silly, but it's not supposed to be an HK P7 now, is it?
It was an impulse buy that I just had to have in my collection before it gets banned as well.
For about 200 bucks, it's a fun gun that actually works (as opposed to another gun in this category, the 9mm SWD MAC-11 knockoff. Yuck.).

All the best!

I had a pre-ban Tec-DC9 that I loved. The only difference between an AB-10 and a Tec-9 (DC9) is that the Tec-9(DC9) has a threaded barrel for attachments and a ventilated handguard. AB signifies 'after ban. They normally run around $350-$450. You can find them in Shotgun News and Gunlist. Wish I wouldn't have sold it. It's always nice to know that Intratec is still making reliable gangbangers. Avoid, I repeat, avoid the Tec-22 at all cost!! It is the worst POS ever made. The AB-22 will most certainly suck also. And remember, you can legally use any preban hi-cap mag in ANY gun. Enjoy.

AB-10? Well, you have to ask: Is it reliable? Is it easy to field strip? How will you carry it?
But I have a feeling the AB-10s' targets are likely to be bottles and tin cans.

If you can, get a TEC-9 or DC-9. The AB-10 doesnt have the vented handguard, and it feels really unbalanced without it. They are all pretty reliable. I heard the only thing different about the DC-9 and the TEC-9 is the DC-9 comes with a sling. I have fired a semi auto TEC, and I have a ProTECtor .45.

Kaps- here's a little historical info for ya on the Tec-9. In the early '90s, some lunatic marched through an office building in Wash. DC, with a Tec-9 and 32rd. mag in each hand, blasting anyone he could. Of course it was PC to blame the gun more than the shooter, so the gov. came down heavy on Intratec, who simply changed the model from Tec-9 to Tec-DC9 to avoid some complicated and ludicrous litigation and to be able to continue manufacture. This was about the same time that The Crime Bill was conjured up. Don't get me started on that abortion!!

I have a tec-9 preban I found about a year ago. Had been stored new in box. I bought a barell extender for it(sure is easier to hold that way) and 3 more high capacity clips. It is a fun gun to shoot, however I think I only have shot a couple of mags through it. I have been thinking about selling it because I rarely think about using it. Impulse buy I guess. I have shot the ab-10,but like the Tec-9 better...PJ
